 In today's class, we had the first 3 groups of presenters present about their idea. Three groups were randomly picked, and so they presented. Since my group wasn't picked today, I have a week to change a few things and brush it up based on the few bits of advice that Mr. Paterson said after listening to the presentations from Today's class.  Firstly, I plan to practice more on making eye contact with my audience. When I practice my presentation alone, I don't make eye contact with the "audience" because there is no such audience in the first place. However, I realized that if I keep on practicing this way, I will get used to making no eye contact at all. Therefore, I came up with the solution to use dolls to serve as the purpose of my audience. So I collected all the dolls that were in my house, (most of them from the storeroom) and lined them up in front of me. When I presented using this method, I found myself making more eye contact with the audience. ...

 In today's class, we had a goal to ①finish making the slides and ②practice for the upcoming presentations   ( starting from tomorrow to the next few classes ) . In reality, although we were able to finish making the slides and polishing it, we could not practice the presentation altogether, with our team members. Thinking about it now, I think that there was one major problem that caused us to be unprepared for the practice we were planning to do during class.  The problem is that we did not discuss the person in charge who was going to do the editing for the slides. Specifically, we hadn't chosen the person in charge of who is going to edit which slides, and rather it was a task which was done more freely, by our group members online on powerpoint. Therefore, not only did it cause confusion between our group members for who is going to edit which slide, but it also made it unfair for the people who would be editing more of the slides, compared to the people who had...

In most cases, schools in Japan lack tools such as technology in studying environments. I was surprised to hear that only 9.9% of Japanese schools use some sort of technology in classes. This made me think deeply about how overall, Japan is considered a developed country, except when it comes to education. However, I was even more surprised to hear that ICU has a thing called "letterboxes" that are used when teachers collect the student's work, and when giving it back to them. When we saw the actual pictures of the letterboxes used in ICU, we were all shook. By looking at the picture, right away we could all tell the problem that causes this mess-the lack of technology. When we use paper instead of the online system, not only does it cause more trash, it may also get lost and lose it forever. Through today's class, we learned how to organize our blogs and make it even better, based upon Mr.Paterson's advice on writing. Specifically, we learned that the basic structure of a good blog includes, ① 3 main paragraphs , with ② 1 idea for each , that includes a  ③ topic sentence for the beginning of each paragraph . We also read our classmate's blog, using a website called "Feedly". We first logged into our Feedly account, then changed a few things so that we would be able to use our blogs more effectively. We first added our classmate's blog accounts to the "feeds" section, then adjusted their names so that it would be easier to read it. In addition, we also took a look at the blogs that our classmates wrote. There are a few ways that we can use blog posts effectively, as Mr.Pateron explained.
