In most cases, schools in Japan lack tools such as technology in studying environments. I was surprised to hear that only 9.9% of Japanese schools use some sort of technology in classes. This made me think deeply about how overall, Japan is considered a developed country, except when it comes to education.
However, I was even more surprised to hear that ICU has a thing called "letterboxes" that are used when teachers collect the student's work, and when giving it back to them. When we saw the actual pictures of the letterboxes used in ICU, we were all shook. By looking at the picture, right away we could all tell the problem that causes this mess-the lack of technology. When we use paper instead of the online system, not only does it cause more trash, it may also get lost and lose it forever. Therefore, in a generation like now, where using the online system is not so hard, an effective way of handing in assignments is to use the online system.
We also learned about the SPIDER method, for when brainstorming ideas. "SPIDER" stands for "SPectator", "Insider", "Dreamer", "Examiner", and "Realist". By using the spider method, we can brainstorm many amazing ideas, that are still realistic and is in the reach of our hands.
